We are looking for a banking and finance lawyer at Associate or Senior Associate level, with ideally 3–6 years’ post-qualification experience. You will bring a strong track record of leading finance transactions and managing client relationships, alongside the ambition to deepen your expertise and contribute to the growth of the practice. This role would suit a commercially astute lawyer who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering clear, practical advice to clients.
You will lead and manage a varied caseload spanning real estate, acquisition, corporate, development and project finance, as well as impact investment transactions. The work will include drafting and negotiating finance documentation, advising lenders and borrowers, and coordinating transaction workstreams with colleagues across different practice areas. You will also help build trusted client relationships, support junior colleagues and contribute to the team’s development.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a varied portfolio of banking and finance transactions, including real estate, acquisition, corporate, development and project finance, and impact investment.

Draft, negotiate and advise on facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor arrangements, loan notes and related finance documentation.

Advise lenders and borrowers on new lending arrangements, refinancings and restructurings.

Manage transaction workstreams and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, working closely with colleagues across relevant practice areas.

Support complex domestic and international transactions, liaising with overseas counsel where required.

Build and maintain client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and identifying opportunities to develop the firm’s client work.

Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to maintaining high technical standards across the team.

Support the development of the team’s strategic growth areas.
Experience and Skills Sought

A qualified lawyer with 3–6 years’ PQE in banking and finance.

A strong track record of leading transactions and managing client relationships.

Commercial awareness, excellent drafting and communication skills, and a proactive, professional approach.

Initiative, self-motivation and an interest in developing business networks and supporting junior colleagues.
