We are looking for a Private Client solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level, ideally with around 6+ years’ PQE. You will bring strong technical expertise and the confidence to manage a varied caseload, working with individuals, companies and trusts on both UK and international matters. The work spans wills, powers of attorney, trusts, probate, estate administration and income and capital tax planning, as well as residence and domicile planning and structuring. You will also support and supervise junior lawyers and paralegals, contribute to marketing initiatives and help maintain high standards of client service and file management. This is an opportunity to take on a broad and engaging role within an established team, combining complex private wealth work with client relationships and the development of junior colleagues.

Responsibilities

Advise individuals, companies and trustees on a broad range of private wealth matters, including domestic and international work.

Undertake estate and asset protection planning, including drafting tax-efficient wills and wills incorporating trusts.

Create onshore trusts, including drafting relevant documents and advising clients.

Advise on probate planning and estate administration.

Prepare powers of attorney and handle Court of Protection matters.

Advise on income and capital tax planning, as well as international residence and domicile planning and structuring.

Manage files efficiently and in accordance with Lexcel procedures.

Supervise, train and support the development of junior lawyers and paralegals.

Participate proactively in marketing initiatives and firm-wide and departmental training.

Maintain strong client relationships and deliver work to a high standard.
Experience and Skills Sought

Qualified solicitor or equivalent, with ideally around 6+ years’ PQE in private client work.

Experience across the private wealth matters outlined above and the ability to manage files independently where appropriate.

STEP member or willing to complete STEP.

Strong technical, client management, communication and financial management skills.

Proactive, commercially aware and collaborative, with enthusiasm for marketing and service delivery.
