We are looking for a Senior Associate with at least 6 years’ PQE to join a supportive and growing Personal Injury team in Bath. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with substantial experience handling fatal road traffic accident claims, strong client-care skills and a collaborative, commercially minded approach. You will manage complex Personal Injury matters, provide clear and high-quality advice, and build trusted relationships with clients and professional referrers. Alongside your casework, you will help develop the team’s profile and contribute to its continued growth through business development, networking and cross-referrals. You will also support and supervise junior colleagues, contribute to departmental projects and help shape the future direction of the practice.
The Firm
This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded legal practice with a growing Personal Injury team in Bath. The team advises on complex claims, including fatal incidents, injuries caused by animals, cycling claims and matters involving vulnerable people. You will work closely with experienced Partners and have the scope to build your profile, strengthen client relationships and contribute to the development of the practice.

Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of complex Personal Injury matters, particularly fatal road traffic accident claims.
- Provide high-quality legal advice and exceptional client care throughout each matter.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, professional referrers and other contacts.
- Manage matters efficiently and profitably, considering pricing, resourcing and risk.
- Develop your profile and reputation within the Personal Injury market.
- Contribute to the departmental business plan and identify opportunities for new work.
- Support business development, including pitches and networking, and help build a pipeline of work.
- Develop internal relationships to encourage cross-referrals across the practice.
- Supervise, coach and support more junior team members.
- Contribute to departmental projects and wider initiatives, keep up to date with legal and sector developments, and work towards departmental and personal KPIs.
Experience and Skills Sought
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 6 years’ PQE and substantial Personal Injury experience, particularly in fatal road traffic accident claims.
- Strong client management, relationship-building and business development skills.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of profitability and performance.
- Collaborative and ambitious, with experience supervising junior colleagues an advantage.
